Concert highlights have included MESSIAH with the Auburn Symphony and the Boise Master Chorale; Saint-Saens's CHRISTMAS ORATORIO with the Jackson Community Symphony; the FAURÉ REQUIEM with the Santa Cruz Chamber Orchestra and Oakland's Laudate; Bernstein's SUITE FROM CANDIDE and Einhorn's VOICES OF LIGHT with the Boise Philharmonic; the MOZART REQUIEM and Bach's SAINT JOHN PASSION with the Boise Baroque; Beethoven's NINTH SYMPHONY with the Vallejo Symphony; and A HOT AUGUST NIGHT (featuring excerpts from both the operatic and Broadway repertoire) with Spokane Opera. Mr. Detwiler was a Pacific Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions for both 2001 and 2005, and was awarded first place in the Opera by the Bay Competition for 2001. He was also the recipient of career grants from the Wagner Society of Northern California for 2001 and 2008, and was invited to participate in the Emerging Artists Program sponsored by the Wagner Society of Washington D.C.
