Career highlights have included Mabel in a new production of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE and Galatea in ACIS AND GALATEA with New York City Opera; Naiad in ARIADNE AUF NAXOS, the Milliner in DER ROSENKAVALIER, and Flower Maiden / Esquire in PARSIFAL (opposite the Parsifal of Plácido Domingo) with Los Angeles Opera; Valencienne in THE MERRY WIDOW and Musetta in LA BOHÈME with New Orleans Opera; Donna Clara, the Infanta, in Zemlinsky's DER ZWERG with New York's Bard Festival; Paquette in CANDIDE and Abigail Williams in THE CRUCIBLE with Des Moines Metro Opera; Cleopatra in GIULIO CESARE with Opera Theater of Connecticut; Kathie in THE STUDENT PRINCE and Isabelle / Madeline in THE FACE ON THE BARROOM FLOOR with Central City Opera; Maria in WEST SIDE STORY with Opera Grand Rapids; and both Carrie in CAROUSEL and the title role in SARI with Ohio Light Opera, for which she made the premiere recording on Albany Records. Other roles have included Adina in L'ELISIR D'AMORE, Rosina in IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA, and Adele in DIE FLEDERMAUS. Musical theater credits have included Cassie in A CHORUS LINE, Flaemmchen in GRAND HOTEL, and Sarah Brown in GUYS AND DOLLS. Concert highlights have included Dorinda in ORLANDO with Washington Concert Opera; Mabel in THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE and Yum-Yum in THE MIKADO with the Colorado Symphony; CARMINA BURANA with the National Chorale at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall; Barber's PRAYERS OF KIERKEGAARD with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra; BROADWAY BY THE YEAR: 1959 with Marc Kudisch at New York City's Town Hall; and A NIGHT AT THE OPERETTA, also at New York City's Town Hall. Ms. McMahon is the recipient of the NYCO Kolozsvar Award for 2006, and is a graduate of the Yale School of Music under the direction of Doris Yarick-Cross.
