Mr. Youngblood has performed with numerous national, international and regional opera companies, including the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, New York City Opera, Virginia Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Opéra de Montréal, Dayton Opera, Washington National Opera, Pacific Opera Victoria, Glimmerglass Opera, Central City Opera, Opera Theater of St. Louis and Madison Opera. His 2023-2024 season included performances of Rigoletto at Opera
Delaware & Opera Baltimore; chamber music with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, the Pyxis Piano Trio, and the Navo Ensemble of Omaha; a return to Virginia Opera for performances of Sharpless in Mo Zhou’s new production of Madama Butterfly; and a role debut as Jack Rance in Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West for Central City Opera.
The 2024-2025 season was highlighted by performances of Sharpless in remounts of Mo Zhou’s production of Madama Butterfly for Florentine Opera and Kentucky Opera; song recitals and concert performances in Wilmington, Delaware & Philadelphia; creating the role of Okhina in the world premiere of Jerod Tate’s first opera, Shell Shaker, with Canterbury Voices and the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, and the title role of
Rigoletto for Eugene Opera and Pacific Opera Victoria.
Highlights of Mr. Youngblood’s 2025 -’26 season included performances of songs by George Gershwin with LyricFest of Philadelphia, return engagements at Virginia Opera as Amonasro in Aïda, Opera Montana as Scarpia in Tosca, and a performance as bass soloist in the Verdi Requiem with the Choral Society of Durham.
His concert engagements have included appearances with the Dallas Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Florida Philharmonic, the Chautauqua Symphony, the Louisville Orchestra, the Naples Philharmonic, the Delaware Symphony, the Jacksonville Symphony, the
Spokane Symphony Orchestra, and the Bucharest Philharmonic, among others. Mr. Youngblood has been praised as well for his exceptionally expressive artistry in recital, with appearances throughout the United States.
